Any weight ASW may be used as "EmergencyWrap" as they provide the same radiant heat shield properties. However, heavier weight ASW makes for a sturdier wrap providing higher tensile strength, more tear resistance, better resistance against wind, and higher heat conduction resistance. The heavy-weight ASW is also suitable for industrial applications as heat shield. Lighter weight ASW provides for easier transportation and handling during wrapping.

Both the light-weight and medium-weight products are breathable fabrics, also suitable for permanent installation. The light-weight fabric is an alternative material for commonly used house wrap products (such as Tyvek HouseWrap), and is the same material as our "HouseWrap" product.
